We've finally completed the process for getting our first credit card that's, well, a real credit card. We have a debit/credit card from the bank, but we're making the plunge for a real credit card to help build up our credit score.

I've got a pretty good credit score, and the wife's is OK, but obviously we'd like to do anything we can do help us out for big future purchases.

That's why we need some credit tips.

We obviously do not want to get in the habit of purchasing beyond our means or racking up huge bills, but we want to use the card.

We've heard that a good way to build up our credit score is to buy things like groceries that we need and can pay for immediately when we get the bill. We'll probably try this out, but want to know some other ways to build our credit score.

How can we effectively use our new credit card to build our credit score? Help us out!
