Free Norton Internet Security for Bank of America Online Accounts

Bank of America, which recently updated their online banking interface, is teaming up with Symantec to give away free copies of Norton Internet Security.

As online banking continues to become an integral part of people's lives, Symantec (NASDAQ: SYMC) has joined forces with online banking leader, Bank of America, to offer a 90-day version of Norton Internet Security and discounted subscriptions to help consumers protect their computers against threats from viruses, spyware, phishing scams and other online threats.

Currently, Bank of America online customers can try Norton Internet Security for 90 days at no cost with the option to renew to a full version at a discount of up to 50 percent off the suggested retail price. This offer can be found at

But be prepared for what Norton will do to your system. I just un-installed Norton AntiVirus because it slowed down my computer so much.

I haven't tried it, but an alternative is to install McAfee's SiteAdvisor plugin for Firefox or Internet Explorer.
