I'm always a little skeptical of online calculators and quizzes that try to break you down in 20 questions or less, but I came across a financial risk questionnaire (via AllFinancialMatters that can get you started if you're not quite sure where you belong.

The New York Institute of Finance has developed a questionnaire to help you assess your risk tolerance. Select what seems to be the most appropriate response for each question. In most cases, there are no right or wrong answers.

I scored a 76, mostly due to my young age and relativly stable lifestyle. That puts me in the "Above-Average Risk Tolerance" category.

71 - 100 Above-Average Risk Tolerance
Individuals scoring in the upper end of this range have significantly greater tolerance than those at the lower end, but people in both situations should put stocks and stock funds at the core of their portfolios.

How did you score?
